Why every working woman should have a TRIBE?

After migrating to the US, finishing college, and joining the corporate world as a woman in technology, Arezou found herself longing for a tribe.

At the time, she didn’t recognize that she was looking for like-minded women with whom she could connect and bond.

It took years before she started bonding, really bonding, with some of her colleagues mainly through dinners, lunches, midday walks, etc.

But most importantly, it happened through visible demonstration of support for one another. The tribe spoke in support of one another’s perspectives in meetings, recommended each other for high-visibility assignments, set mock interviews or role-play sessions when they anticipated a tough conversation, and coached each other with tough love when necessary.
