Welcome to the AC Sports Blog!

Hi friends!

I am very excited to share a project with you that I have been working on for a very long time.

In Sports Journalism, it is important to be open to everything and every opportunity that comes your way. Whether that may include MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL, or any other sport imaginable. That being said, all of you know me as a mega Toronto Blue Jays fan and blogger… and that’s about it. I have never really ventured out of MLB and MILB when it comes to writing blog posts and articles on the internet.

I have been doing some research on universities lately, especially looking at a few that I may be interested in going to in the future. Not exactly near future, but at some point in the future. However, time never stands still. Anything you can do to show people your talents can (and should) be done at anytime, no matter how old you are. The sooner the better!

This brings me to my announcement. I have decided to start a blog, featuring stories and headlines from three major sports leagues. These include MLB (Major League Baseball), NBA (National Basketball Association), and NHL (Naitonal Hockey League). While most of these posts will mainly be about Toronto sports teams, I will also be adventuring out of my confort zone and writing about other teams in the sports world.

I have decided to start this blog on one of the newest blog websites called Medium (the website you are on right now). Wordpress is one of my favourite platforms to use for publishing articles, but I wanted to carry the theme of going out of my comfort zone with the platform I chose to write on. With Medium, you get a much better reading view of every post, but less creative control over the appearance of the website. As of right now, this is the style and look I want to use. A much more simple view, which is a lot easier for you, the readers!

I have put up a blog post all about Patrick Marleau and the Toronto Maple leafs, that you can read here. This is an example of the type of blog posts I will be publishing on this website. Make sure to leave a comment giving me some feedback on it, and that let’s me know that you have read it and visited the blog!

Blog posts will be going up somewhat daily. My goal is around 5–6 posts per week, which is a lot for my little student life to handle… but I can do it! This past year, I have accomplished a lot of my goals, but creating this new blog was one of the only things I had left to do.

Thank you for being a loyal follower of mine, and following me along this new journey. I am looking forward to all of the new and exciting things to come in the 2017–2018 season of SPORTS!
