4 ways to be productive during quarantine

It is a very scary time right now, and fear can paralyze us from getting work done while having all this time. So here are some ways to stay productive during the day:

Work out. Working out boosts your confidence and allows you to feel proud of yourself. Not only is working out good for your body, it has a positive effect on you psychologically, knowing that you are doing something to stay healthy, and it inspires you become more productive during the day. It has also never been easier to get a work out in because you can simply go to Youtube and look up “10 minute workout you can do at home” and get millions of results. To add on to all this, working out boosts your immune system, and keeps your spine and core strong (which will cause less stress / pain in the future because we’ve all been sitting all day).

Read a book. This is the perfect time to grab the book from your bookshelves that you never touch, sit down, and read. Especially if you grab a book that you are actually interested in, reading can help time go by really fast as you enter the flow state while being consumed by the story. Also, reading a book is something everyone should do because it keeps your intelligence level high. You don’t want to go outside after this whole quarantine situation is over and realize everyone has been keeping up with their fitness and education while you haven’t.

Eat healthy. This may be the most difficult one considering how going to the groceries these days are a struggle and it can be much easier to just eat Ramen or canned food. However, if you have access and feel comfortable financially, you should really try to eat healthy. You are what you eat. There are studies that show the bacteria in your digestive systems can actually control or significantly affect your mood, and it’s a scary thought, but if you treat your stomach and body right it can be something very beneficial for your body. If you are feeding your body junk, your body will function like a junk.
