as if you came back and realized that the world has changed

It was like everything disappeared
I looked out the window
and the sky outside was
blurred and deep
But that was not bad — or sad
Maybe it was just winter in my soul

White and gray, dark and brown
Smelling of old trees
My feet didn’t even feel the ground
Smooth as breezes and light waves
Summer lights and shadows
Paths we didn’t take together
And every time we don’t touch our hands
The world seemed less vivid since then
Everything inside of us
It was just a flash of memories
It was just the world that was changing

Galaxies were grouped in and out
of everything that was passed
Even though my senses didn’t fail
It was like I came back
And then everything had become silent
I wouldn’t need anything else to understand
That the world had finally changed.
